Life Goal Completed!!!

Yesterday, April 18, 2015, Slade and I went to Denver for Starfest.  Let me tell you that Laramie was in a pretty bad snow storm when we left at 7 am.  I 80 was closed because of the snow.  One road was still open, us 287, Laramie to Fort Collins.  The snow was pretty bad and we could barely see the road.  Luckily we got behind a plow truck.  We sat behind it from Laramie to the state border.  Where, by the way, it stopped snowing.... it was like the snow knew where the border was and only snowed in Wyoming.

We got to the Marriott tech center in Denver around 9:40 ish and oh my gosh, it was 15 dollars for parking.  Luckily there was a free parking lot below the payed.

It was a very confusing process of getting checked in and doing stuff.  After like 15 minutes of being confused, we got checked in and I got my tickets for autograph and photo.

We were walking around trying to understand the map they gave us.  We walked by a stargate table and I thought it was a table selling Stargate stuff.  But then I realized... the person sitting at the end of the table was Richard Dean Anderson!!!  I freaked out and told Slade to stop.  He was shocked that he looked older.

I stood in line for his autograph.  Freaking out with every inch.  I get close and the guy next to him took my photo and asked for a name.  I gave him Leauvella, my mom's name.  I got this autograph for her.  Haha he was confused on to spell it.  I was so nervous to talk to Richard.  I got up to him and he looked at the name and was like... how to you say this, so I told him and told him it was for my mom.  he asked where she was and I told him she was at home with the grand kids and that they weren't mine.  He asked where I got my photo and I said maceys and he laughed, showed the guy, and said he was surprised they were selling them at maceys.  He asked how old my mom is and I told him 60 and he said a youngin.  I said yes and laughed and thanked him.

I was shaking so badly!  Haha.  We found out were the photos were and walked around until I stood in line for an hour and a half.  Ugh.  Haha.  Slade got me food, such a nice man.  I finally got to the front and the dude who sat next to Richard remembered me.  I walked up to Richard and he called me dearie.  XD. haha.  We took the picture and I asked if I could hug him and he said sure.  So I did.  Ah!!!  It was awesome!  I HUGGED RICHARD DEAN ANDERSON!!!

Slade and I looked at the booths and walked around, waiting for my pictures to get printed.  Okay, so I took my picture at like 12:45.  They said it would take about 2 hours to get printed.  So we waited.  We decided to leave and get food.

We went to Golden Corral.  Nothing against people or anything but it was in a ghetto part of town and it was scary while we were eating.  The staff was also very rude.

We went back to the fest and the pictures were not done yet so we went to Richards Q and A.  He was so funny.  He acted like he does on Stargate.  Haha.  That was like 4:30-5:45 ish.

So we went and checked the pictures... only 2 of the people of the Richard pictures were done.  I was like number 50 ish.  So we went to Sonic and got drinks and more food...
We got back at the fest around 6:45.  Still no picture.  So we walked around a little more, trying to contemplate what we should do.  Finally!  While I was standing there, it came out!  That was at 7pm!  6 hours to print photos.  It was crazy.

We drove back through Cheyenne and from Cheyenne to Laramie, it was super foggy.  why is Laramie just a place for bad weather!?!

But any ways, that was one of the coolest things I w have been able to do so far.  I am so glad Slade went with me.

Title from a story

Long time no read.  Sorry its bean a while, moved to Wyoming and got a job, you know, just trying to fit into a new place and a new state.

But anyways...

I wanted to share what happened to me last night.  I was laying in bed watching Doctor Who on my phone, which was plugged in.  I noticed I forgot to take off my Stargate necklace, Nerd Alert.  So I took it off, trying to be quite because Slade was asleep.  I leaned over to drop off my necklace but I wasn't really paying attention and it was dark.

All of a sudden there are sparks and popping noises, Slade jumped up out of bed and turned on the light.  The chain on my necklace was hanging and touched the prongs on my phone charger.  My charger, phone, and outlet were completely fine.

Slade kept asking if I was okay, wondering if I electrocuted myself, which surprisingly, nothing happened.  The sparks also didn't touch any of my blankets or stuffed animals that were lying around, therefore not causing any fire.

Have you ever heard of people saying, angels protect their family or anyone from harm?  I believe that happened to me last night.  There was no harm to anything or anyone.

Its amazing what little things that can strengthen your love for our Heavenly Father.  I am so grateful for the protection and love I felt last night.

I am so grateful knowing that Heavenly Father is always looking after every single person and will help protect them.
